Northern Lakes Impact Center

Outdoor Education

The Northern Lakes Impact Center offers both day and residential programs for grades K-12. Residential programs can range from 2 days / 1 night up to 5 days / 4 nights. In addition, we can even bring some of our programs right to you!

Our comprehensive curriculum focuses on educational concepts geared to meet the standards in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan.

At the Northern Lakes Impact Center, students will discover that learning is fun and comes naturally as they work with their professional instructors to explore and acclimate to the outdoors through our programs. Our programs encourage active participation in each class session, including hands-on experiments combined with reflection in order to foster awareness of and respect for themselves, each other, and their environment. Our programs are flexible and can be tailored to your specific needs as it is our goal to have something for everyone!

In addition to environmental studies, schools can choose to include social outcomes in their program. With classes like Initiatives and Low Ropes, schools can design programs that will teach students conflict-resolution skills, enhance self-esteem, and develop leadership potential.

Here’s just a taste of what we have to offer:

Aquatic Ecology
Climbing Tower
Fire Making
Outdoor Survival
Science of Illusions
Voyageur Rendezvous

The Northern Lakes Impact Center’s team is willing to work with you and your school to build a program to meet your specific goals and objectives.
